The Empty Quarter crossing became more grueling as the team progressed deep within the sands.
Jamie describes the challenges that the Canadians and Bedu faced, as their water stores drained to dangerously low levels. The day ends with dried meat and a little of our Bedu companion bin Ashara's coffee, a brew more to be chewed than sipped. Ali, our other Bedu teammate, wants to use some flour to make khobz or flatbread. Bin Ashara says no in the interest of conserving water...
